Hand Forged Medieval Warhorse Armor Set
Hand Forged Medieval Warhorse Armor Set
Plate armor was virtually sword-proof. It protected the wearer well against spear or pike thrusts and provides decent defense against blunt trauma. The evolution of plate armor also triggered developments in the design of offensive weapons. While this armor was effective against cuts or blows, their weak points could be exploited by long tapered swords or other weapons designed for the purpose, such as poleaxes and halberds. The body armor here consists of a cuirass with a set of pauldrons. A cuirass is a piece of armor formed of a single or multiple pieces of metal or other rigid material, which covers the front of the wearer's torso. This cuirass comes with a detachable back piece to complete torso protecting armor. The pauldrons cover the armpit, shoulder, upper arm, and sometimes parts of the back and chest. A pauldron typically consists of a single large dome-shaped piece to cover the shoulder (the "cop") with multiple lames attached to it to defend the arm and upper shoulder. This set comes polished with four riveted lames. This set if perfect for costumes and re-enactments.
