Roman Centurion Facilis Rosette Belt
Roman Centurion Facilis Rosette Belt
This Centurion belt is named after the type of solider who wore it, a centurion named Facilis, who served in the XX legion during the middle of the first century. Marcus Favonius Facilis was a Centurion of the 20th legion of the Pollonian tribe. This exact design can also be found on his headstone. It is made from high quality buff leather that has been stained a chocolate brown. There are 16 adjustable holes and the belt widens to fit the 2 inch genuine brass plates. Each plate has a lovely Roman rosette design and comes thick. These plates have been casted not embossed for maximum quality. There are 12 plates with 3 different designs which are held on with steel rivets. The hinged solid brass fibula is a thing of beauty. It is just as thick as the plates measuring a 3.6 mm. This stunning piece of craftsmanship just speaks for itself. Re-enact in campaign after campaign with this superior belt.
